Sweet and Spicy Balsamic Chicken


Sweet and Spicy Balsamic Chicken
Ingredients :
8 chicken legs/drumsticks, skin on (gives the sauce a yummy flavor when cooking)
1 cup water
1/2 cup balsamic vinegar
1/3 cup low sodium soy sauce
3 tablespoons brown sugar
1-2 garlic cloves, minced (or equivalent of jarred garlic)
2 tbsp Sriracha (or red pepper flakes, 1 tsp)
Directions :
Place all the ingredients in a saucepan over a high heat.
Bring to the boil, then reduce to a simmer for about 20 minutes. Turn at the 10 minute mark
At 20 minutes, the chicken should be cooked. Move the chicken to the side of the skillet, propping and stacking them up on the edges of the skillet.
When they're out of the way, remove any scum that rises to the surface so the sauce can reduce
Simmer until the liquid thickens (bout 5 minutes)
Roll the Chicken in the glaze again.
Serve and enjoy!
